The Cambridge Blue

The Cambridge blue has gluten free beer on tap (and Mongozo by the bottle). I almost cried when I walked in here for the first time. This a solid pub with a typical English style and a few board games thrown in for good measure.  I spoke to the barman and he said that there is always at least 1 Nene Valley Brewery beer on tap. They also have bottles of Mongozo GF in the impressive fridge, as you walk in the front door.  I asked if the lines to the tap were shared with any other beers and the barman assured me that the NVBs had a dedicated line, that are cleaned out between changes of beer. The tap into the  NVB keg in the celler is also cleaned between changing casks.  Furthermore, they have a couple of GF items on their frequently changing food menu. We spoke the chef about the falafel salad and she double checked the dressings etc to make sure they were GF.  Overall, very happy with this pub and the dilligent staff. UPDATE: they are no longer doing gf food

Lovely pub, nene valley on tap. Good selection of ciders. Friendly staff. Board games to play. Had a few fun evenings here!
