Total disaster!! Were really looking forward to this country venue, drove for an hour or so having booked a table the previous day. Reassured about GF menu available. However, they WOULD NOT cook our GF choices as they were too busy!! False pretences or what? Please do not go there.
Terrible!! Avoid!! Rang the day before to book and say 2 of our 4 were gluten free- they said no problem we even have a separate gluten free menu. Got there and yes a decent gluten free menu given us, but after we ordered, waitress returned and said, actually, the kitchen is too busy and the chef would have to do the gluten free stuff from scratch and it would take too long so he's not gonna do it(!!!), but can do the roast (with no Yorkshire pud) or burger GF. Ordered one of each of these, and they arrived about ten minutes before the rest of the meals so we had almost finished by the time theirs had arrived! Ps when ordering stating we are coeliac the waitress asked 'oh, does coeliac mean gluten free then?' Conclusion- they advertise a gluten free menu but then tell you that you can't actually order from it because they can't be bothered (after giving it to you and placing your order!). Then give you your meal much earlier than rest of the table. And waiting staff don't know what coeliac means.
