Words. Cannot. Describe. De Kas is an exceptional restaurant and whenever someone tells me that they are going to Amsterdam I tell them that they need to visit De Kas. They grow a lot of their own ingredients on the (massive) premises and because of this the menu changes daily and you are always eating food that is fresh and in-season. The staff are phenomenal and it was not a problem to make gluten free adjustments to my meal. I recommend that you book in advance and treat yourself to a flight of wine, with your meal. Besides the fantastic food, my lasting memories of this place are 1) our server going out of her way to help us get home, by printing out a bus timetable for us. 2) Some restaurants have a bowl of mints at the door, De Kas has a bowl of apples, grown in their orchard!
